Hes definitely right about telegraphed attacks. Its why the Dark Souls franchise is so successful, every fight is learning how an enemy moves before they hit you, meaning you can predict and outplay them. The real challenge as a dev comes from making it fair but also challenging, although thats pretty hard to do when you only have 48 hours to make something from scratch. All in all every dev had good ideas and they were all fairly unique games

Idk if this could be a video, but I was wondering about how you made a first person model work in godot, similar to how you did it in wrought flesh. The section in the devlog that sort of explained it felt too vague, it would just be pretty cool if you explained the process more thoroughly.

This tutorial is Great! The worst part by far though, is this tutorial being 5 years old and necessitating me figuring out how to update it to Godot 4
But why this game has minimum requirement of GTX 1080? Can someone me explain that
probably because it was tested on there and therefore its the minimum hte dev can be sure that it works
3 years later its a MASTERPIECE.

Spent the day yesterday watching through the Blackthornprod videos and got tired of all the shooting games that came out at the end of every no-communication-collab as if there were no other genres. Even more when all the devs come from a background of very different, creative games. Makes me wonder if shooter is just the conceptional easiest genre and the fastest to create in a short amount of time.
